Cities are a hit of this season. Our new natural environment. A place where everyone, regardless of class, gender, or age, flocks in a widening stream. The city as a cause – and as a consequence. Everything is in the palm of your hand. A seething mix of the most extreme extremes created by humans. Hope and hopelessness side by side. A place where it's hard to feel at home. Especially in an era when people have access to cheap, efficient, and ubiquitous communication technology.

We can choose to "put down roots" anywhere. However, it is the city that stands at the head and center of modern civilization. This is a kind of large virtual family, which includes more than half of the Earth population. Everyone in this common urban cauldron is a carrier of diverse, wild knowledge, ideas, and capital that converge by chance, fit into new contexts, relationships, and together create something new.
